Description of the Actual Services Provided by the Firm Developed a conservation fund for Sardu watershed conservation and continuation of ecosystem services in Sunsari district in Province 1. A framework was designed for Payment for Ecosystem (PES) and a Board was developed led by Dharan Municipality. The potential source of conservation fund is water users in Dharan (civilians, organizations, and business), watershed dwellers, external beneficiaries, municipality and other local entities etc. During the designing of the fund, the designing team learned lessons from the assessment of different models and mechanisms adopted in several sectors such as drinking water supply system in Dhulikhel Water supply system, Hetauda, Shivapuri and hydropower sector in Kulekhani. |
