Identified the nationally important watersheds of the country for the development of irrigation, hydropower, drinking water system and other important infrastructures that lead to the national economy; identifying the factors that lead the condition of the recharge zones or aquifer in the process of identification of nationally important watersheds; exploring the possibilities of effective linkages between upstream and downstream of the watersheds; and delineating the nationally important watersheds of eastern development region of the country.
