Description of the Actual Services Provided by the Firm Prepared a comprehensive report. The report consisted of : developing Geographical Information System (GIS) based database of existing hydro meteorological network stations especially hydrological monitoring station networks; precipitation, sediment, water quality, stream flow, and evaporation; categorizing stations an excellent, good, and poor based on quality of data, accessibility of station, stability of the control, necessity for water resources development, prelacy of the stations; designing optimal station network considering the physiographic heterogeneity of the country; classifying stations into primary, secondary and ; revising network for assessment of long term stream flows, flood forecasting, monitoring of snow and glaciers, and monitoring of sediment flow; developing GIS -based database of revised network; and giving recommendation for upgrading and replacing existing stations introducing modern instruments including real time systems. |
